The Divinus restaurant service was very welcoming and very attentive. Unfortunately, the food was disappointing. Without living negative details, I'm just saying that I don't think the food will revive the place and service. I think the reviews are pretty inflated. For the price point of this fine restaurant, I think the cook has to do better. When I accepted a positive comment, I spoke privately with the head of the service, and he heard and recognized my opinions and offered compensation for my concerns without challenging my opinions. I hope the kitchen is able to significantly improve the food because this is a special place to visit. The food was absolutely delicious. Chef and employees have quickly adapted to one of us vegan and accomodated us incredibly well. The cheesecake was one of the best desserts ever eaten. As constructive criticism, the lack of ambience music is not something in focus and if you stay at the hotel and have breakfast in the same place to make the transition to a fine restaurant. Fortunately, both the staff and the food make up for it and will of course return again and again when Im in Évora.

Highly recommend the tapas- the lamb slider is possibly the best thing I’ve ever had to eat. The sea bass was delicious and the lobster risotto was the best I’ve had outside of Maine. Wine that was suggested was a perfect pairing with our meal. And dessert… the strawberry rhubarb pavlova was out of this world! The prices were very reasonable for this quality and it was a wonderful evening.
