What User doesn't like about Evergreen Bread Cocktail Lounge:
this is a raised eclectic place, and baking is good with creative results, but the prices are above the top. my mandel croissant was full of mandelpaste, but my ham cheese croissant had hardly one ham in it. the half was completely empty. Third, a pumpkin cheese cake was Danish. $20 is just a little too much to pay for three items. in total, each baked product is brewed repeatedly during bakery. my daughter gave me o... I've worked in restaurants a long time and this is hands down one of the best I've been to. Pastries are decadent, standard fare like runny eggs and crispy bacon are also perfectly cooked. I ordered multiple pastries to go after trying their kouign amon with my meal. Sit on the balcony and look at the rocky mountains while having a great meal.
Excellent bakery. Egg sandwich on croissant is a 10. Don't get the burritos, they're pre-made, and everything else on the menu is better. Monkey bread, cinnamon rolls, morning buns are all ?. Coffee is meh (Lavazza) but the lattes are great. Order at the counter so it's not really like a 3 hour brunch with mimosas spot, but good nonetheless. Their bread is great, and is served at places like Abejas in Golden.
Such a cute shop that's actually more of a restaurant where you order at the counter rather than a straight up bakery. I loved the rhubarb and strawberry danish it was so so good. We also had the white chocolate pistachio cinnamon roll type thing. That was decent but the main star was the danish. They also sell gourmet goods like butter and spreads in their fridge that looked so good and I have to go back and buy some sometime.
The. Best. Croissant. I’ve. Ever. Had.Ohhhh my goodness y’all here we go: I was in evergreen for about 5 days and we ate here twice! So many good things to recommend but first let me start off with the atmosphere: it has a relaxed natural glow frl natural elements everywhere. It’s so warm, inviting and cozy. The staff are incredible. Very knowledgeable about their processes and menu. Ok FINALLY we can talk about the croissant ?. SO FLAKY, butter and the crisp! Omg. Listen to the video ?. If I lived here I would eat here or easily three times a week at least. GO HERE.Recommendations: any croissant but the chocolate is my personal favorite, the pastry that has the name queen in it, the avocado toast plate, and their chocolate sourdough bread.
Always a consistently great experience! Elevated food (can’t beat breakfast made with home made sour dough and croissants), great coffee, and lovely service in a relaxed atmosphere. Great shaded patio in summer. Well-behaved dogs seem welcome on patio.Food: 5/5
