The service here was off the chart. The course was manicured with firm greens, great tee boxes and amazing fairways. The rough was consistent. It’s a very playable course and great for beginners. The locals that are members may hassle you a bit but they are harmless. View all feedback.
What Doris Beier doesn't like about Down River Golf Course:
It's in the country and it's a club. Otherwise a misleading use of the Country Club. No river in sight. Tea boxes are bevelled and dirty. Fairways are spott. Greens are a mess to put. The course is not least interesting. Hot, Sunday afternoon, no drinks car, no drinking water on course and machines were empty. I'm sorry I stopped here on my way to Bedford Springs. Don't waste your time or money. View all feedback.

Great golf course to play very affordable. Everything in great shape, very nice golf carts. Extremely nice fairways.
Wide open layout. Fairly flat surrounded by mountains. Greens can be challenging with varying slopes. Staff was very friendly.
Really enjoyed this course for the first time going. The staff were also friendly and welcoming would definitely come again
