A&W - Everett
A&W
Description
A&W offers a mixed dining experience marked by standout burgers and memorable root beer, especially the root beer float. While some menu items, like the chili cheese fries, can vary in quality, the seasoning generally leans heavily on spices, sometimes needing balance. Service shows dedication, with staff often helpful, though issues with order accuracy and drive-thru procedures cause frustration. Prices appear inconsistent, and some patrons have faced food temperature and hygiene concerns. Despite occasional lapses, employees work diligently, warranting appreciation. Overall, the restaurant delivers decent fast food but falls short in consistency and customer experience.

Great spot for a weekday lunch! The juicy chicken thighs are delicious, and the biscuits are wonderfully flaky.
The burgers at this A&W location are some of the best fast food options in the area. Like most items on the menu, they're heavily seasoned but could use a bit more acidity or sweetness—basically, a little extra ketchup would help. In terms of flavor, the double cheeseburger here is comparable to the one at Red Mill, which is often considered one of the top burger spots around. The taste is quite similar, although Red Mill's sauce tends to be less spicy. You can't go wrong with the root beer here, but I highly recommend trying a root beer float for a special treat. I ordered chili cheese fries on two different occasions. The first time, it seemed like I was eating something that had been reheated for quite a while. The chili was overly concentrated and too salty. However, the second time, the chili was much fresher, and the dish was significantly better. Definitely go for that!
They don't accept coupons from your phone; you have to print them out and bring a hard copy. Additionally, they don’t honor the advertised promotions.
As someone who has experience in the fast food industry, I rarely leave negative reviews. However, my visit to this restaurant was quite disappointing. The service left much to be desired, but what really topped it off was finding a hair in my corn dog nuggets. Additionally, during my time at the drive-thru, I had to explain my combo order three times in detail, yet they still got it wrong. Given the high prices, it's frustrating to pay for food I didn't even order.
