Their beer is great, but the operation at this café is very disappointing. I sincerely hope Lost Coast improves because their beer deserves better service. I'm curious to see if they address the issues I've mentioned or if they simply rely on the numerous 5-star reviews they've received, which I honestly can't understand based on my experience.

Lost Coast's Tangerine Weizen is one of the top three sellers at the gastropub where I work in Florida, so stopping by while driving along the California-Oregon coast was essential! Our bartender, Cassie, was a delight to chat with. She was friendly and informative, sharing tips about the area and making our experience memorable. I also had the pleasure of speaking with the manager, Marcus, who clearly has a great vision for the place. They offer delicious beer, unique souvenirs, and have a fantastic staff!

For an early dinner, the food was excellent and affordable, creating a wonderful atmosphere. The portions were generous, and the service was good. The beer-battered dishes were particularly enjoyable.

Our experience was terrible in this restaurant. After we follow the instructions to see a hostess to take place and put our names, were we accelerated by the manager for ?being into the way?. he told us we should sit in the lounge. as they can see in the pictures, this a) is not a place to sit and b) no way to know that the lounge is open seating. Finally, when we asked our status for a table, we were told that they were not in a hurry to put us. even after we have ordered drinks and appetizers. if a communication professional and several service industry professionals could not say where we could stand or not sit, there is a problem.

Nice little place with great beer. The calamari and clam chowder were pretty good but the rueben had so much fat it was disgusting and made turnd her stomach after biting into it. As you can guess momma wasn't happy so no one was.
