I had dinner at Placido's last night, recommended by a friend who is a local to Eugene, and I am glad we went. The restaurant is a bit difficult to find, but I think that adds to its charm. The space is small and cozy, with a wonderful atmosphere. The service was excellent, but the food was absolutely sensational. I didn't make a reservation, but I was lucky to get a table. Now, on to the important details: the food was incredible, the drinks were delicious, and the service was great! We were well taken care of by the bartender and our orders came out quickly. I tried the Placido (lemon) drop and the shrimp scampi, both of which were not disappointing. The shrimp were plentiful and tasty, and the linguini was fresh and cooked perfectly. My fiancée ordered the whisky sour and the chicken... View all feedback.
It's not really good. my mother brought to a late Mother's Supper and it was a terrible experience. she got the chicken piccata that came out and tasted nothing but red paprika. there were no crooked and big pieces of garlic to a court sat and the bun was not drowned. the drinks were good, but spend 60 on a meal that tastes as it is deplorable from the frozen food section.
Finally got to try this place tonight. On the hunt for Italian food better than Olive Garden. Both dishes, Chicken Picato and Chicken Pesto, we're so bland! After a bunch of salt and pepper the Pesto was good. Couldn't fix the Picato.
This is a place you go for house made pasta! It's a smaller, intimate setting. The menu is amazing but they lack in wine selection. They do have a kids menu, but do not serve half portions. Everything we had was so so good, big portions, and fair prices. This is the perfect Italian place for Eugene. Make sure you make a reservation!
This place was amazing. The pasta was fantastic, the drinks were delightful, and the staff were great. Definitely worth a trip. You might not get a seat, but still worth trying
Super cute place for a romantic dinner. I had the spaghetti and meatballs with a glass of Pinot noir. Great service too!
