Panda Express - Eugene
Panda Express
Description
In recent visits to a local restaurant, patrons have expressed mixed feelings about their experiences. While some appreciate the convenient location and occasional promotions, others report a decline in menu variety and customer service. Complaints include staff being unresponsive and rude, with issues like incomplete orders and inadequate sanitation practices also noted. However, there are accounts of staff kindness amidst chaos, such as offering unexpected freebies. Overall, while the restaurant has its loyal fans, increasing frustration regarding service quality and consistency suggests room for improvement to ensure a more satisfying dining experience.

Similar experience to other customers here. Ignored, snapped at, extremely rude behavior, no effort to de-escalate, they helped the people behind me before me, and got angry when I made myself undoubtedly visible and heard. I thought it was just me, but after reading these reviews, I saw a pattern not only here but also many restaurants in eugene/Springfield. A little critical think, humility, and efficient communication can work wonders here, but it's seems they employ the type of people who have no chill or are selective as to who they serve. I would like to see them do better in the way they treat people, but also, it could have been a long day for them as well... Food: 4 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 2

Me and my husband only eat out once every 4-6 weeks. It’s a splurge for us. The last 3 times we’ve gotten food at this location they have shorted one of us on the teriyaki chicken. I’ve never complained since mistakes happen and they always seem busy. This time we went in and stood at the counter to order. The lady working ignored us for awhile. Then someone came up behind us and she asked him if he’d been helped and helped him. I was shocked. But I waited patiently. Then she asked my husband what he wanted and he ordered a plate. She walked away before taking my order and filled several online orders while I waited. There was no one else behind me so it wasn’t super busy. She finally came back to us and asked if we wanted something else. She snapped and was quite rude. I told her yes, I’d also like to eat and would like a plate please. She gave the correct amount of chow mein and orange chicken and only gave half the teriyaki chicken. This is the 3rd time one of us has gotten shorted by an entire chicken thigh. It’s supposed to come with 2 and I received one. The online orders she filled before me had two and my husband got two. But I only got one. I’m not sure if they do this to control profits since it seems to happen often. But if I’m paying full price for a meal I would like to receive the entire meal I’m paying for. I would have just taken the food I got shorted on and not complained for the 3rd time except the rest of the experience was horrible as well. She ignored us, helped the person behind us before us, left us waiting when it wasn’t needed since it wasn’t busy, snapped at us because apparently she didn’t think we both wanted to eat, and then shorted me on my food. Price per person: $10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
A guy came in after me and called the police on the staff because the lobby was closed and he didn’t want to use the drive-thru. The workers were incredibly kind and patient, and one of them was really sweet—they even gave me a free drink and orange chicken (though I’m a vegetarian, so that was a bit awkward). The staff here truly deserve more recognition, and I believe they should be allowed to accept tips.
I do not recommend this place. During peak hours, they don’t have any dishes prepared in advance. They require payment upfront before the chef begins cooking, and the chef only starts making an item after about ten orders for it accumulate. This results in long wait times. Additionally, they are unclear about the cancellation policy if you don’t want to wait. I have never experienced such unprofessionalism. I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.
