Off The Waffle South Eugene

Sweet little spot for a waffle lover! No ruffles and nothing funny, but you'll get great waffles and a great coffee! The guys who run it were super friendly!

Updated 4/16/2022: The owner reached out to me after I posted this and was very professional. After our exchange I went to the downtown restaurant and had a very different experience. Not sure if changes were made at this location. Will go back and update the review... Original review from mid JAN 2022: This is low grade food truck food at sit-down restaurant prices. Came with my family (2 adults, three kids aged 10-14). Check was $75. Two kids got the waffle with strawberries, the strawberries were previously frozen, mushy, and discolored. The rest of us got a waffle and omelette. The waffle was decent, had to ask for syrup. The omelette was a complete disaster, clearly premade egg sheets, ultra thin, with sparing filling. Possibly microwaved, no evidence of it being prepared in a pan. Coffee was out when we walked in, did not get coffee until half way through our meal. No individual servings of creamer or sweeteners, the entire community man-handles the bottle of honey (with a broken top) and creamer carafe. The table bussing station is conveniently parked next to a dining table, full of plates with half-eaten food, disgusting.

I don?t think I will be returning to off the waffle. $8 for this ?plate? of fruit. I?m super disappointed. When they told me it was $8 I was thinking it would be a good amount of fruit. Specially since they advertise it as a fruit plate. I?m pregnant and was craving some good fruit. Major let down.

So good, we had to have breakfast here twice during our trip. The downtown location was packed so we drove 5 minutes away and got in and out in about 15 minutes. The Om-lette with Avocado and Basil added was the perfect Sunday brunch ???

I can't tell you how much I love this place. I've posted about Off The Waffle before for two other locations. I get the Red Queen tea every single time and their leige waffles are incredible. The staff is always cool, relaxed, and helpful. They have indoor and outdoor seating and they wear masks. If you have been here, then you already know. If you haven't, then you haven't lived until you've had Off The Waffle. I've been coming here for so long that it's weird for me to see the syrup on so many waffles, but they're just incredible.
