The owners are super friendly and service oriented. The food is the best Chinese food around. I have to recommend the shrimp egg rolls. Everything I have tried here has been served hot and is very appetizing. The have a vegetarian menu also! This is the perfect place for large groups, they are very accommodating. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Louie's Village:
It's fun to eat here in the summer. There's a little park-like area where you can walk around and feed the birds ducks. The food is consistently good and there's plenty of it. Great place for families! View all feedback.
I have been coming to Louie's for 30 some years. The food is great and the Louie family are some of the nicest people you will ever meet. If you go a few times, Jean will even tell you want you want to eat. She'll be right and I hate that about Jean. Jean's always right.
This place is not clean, the bathrooms reeked of urine. Carpet stained, ceilings water and rust stained and dirty windows. Hubby and I both returned the food could not eat it. My noodles were even discolored at the edges not fresh. The vegetables were washed out no flavor. Prices are high for what size portion you get and no soup or tea. What's up with that? Forget this place....ugh.

I left Eugene over 20 years ago, but visit yearly. Every time I am in town I insist on visiting Louie's! We come as a family gathering and we are always given top notch service. I love the fried rice and mar far chicken and I wish I could get something like it in Boston. I have traveled a lot and eat a lot of Chinese meals, but Louie's is my very favorite.
The service here is terrible! I always get stuck with this one older waitress, I think she is the owner's sister. She always looks grumpy and like she is mad you are there wanting to eat. She treats you like you are an inconvenience to her day. So you get your food served begrudgingly and she doesn't bother to hide her dismay at having to work. Which ruins the whole meal right there. The owner just stands at the counter and stares at people as they eat. Which makes anyone uncomfortable. And they don't give you enough food to make it worth what you pay. Their egg flower soup is the worst I have ever eaten, it has absolutely no taste and has a water-like consistency. I will never go back, and I have heard this from several other people. Older people have told me it was good when they first started eating there and gradually went down hill to the point it is now, just being flat terrible. I am constantly amazed that they are still in business.
