Contribute FeedbackLotus Garden is an all-vegan Chinese restaurant located in downtown Eugene that offers delicious and unique dishes. The food is amazing, with options ranging from healthy tofu dishes to imitation orange chicken. The restaurant has stand-by favorites as well as some unique dishes like the duck. They also serve fresh soup and offer a variety of flavorful menu items at fair prices. The pot stickers are highly recommended, although they may not always be available due to being made fresh daily. While some found certain dishes to be just okay, many praised the flavorful and hearty portions offered by Lotus Garden. Overall, it is a great spot to try out vegan Chinese cuisine in Eugene.
Lotus Garden is where to go for all vegan Chinese foods in Eugene. Super crowded during lunchtime when we went here as there was a lunch special during the week. We had: Kung Pao Tempeh (Tempeh and vegetables in a spicy tasty brown sauce) Long Life Veggies (a wealth of vegetables) brown rice and stir fried rice (each dish comes w/ rice) Both were hearty portions and my friend brought her own container to take some home. I'm pretty special about my tempeh and will sometimes decide to order tofu instead of when it's dining room. I took the proposal of the server to try the Kung Pao Tempeh, and he was right! Lotus Garden makes it right and it is tasteful here. Make sure to save space for the desert as the two different types of mochi we tried were excellent! If you never mochi before this a great place to try it!
The vegetables and soybeans were good, but the sweet and sour tofu was blande and the hot and sour soup was just not good.
I was shocked to know this is ALL vegan! The sweet and sour nuggets are freaking amazing. I had the fried bean curd with ginger sauce the other night and I wanted more of that for sure! Drooling just thinking about it now.
The food was fresh, unfortunately mine (fried nuggets sweet and sour) was not very tasty, it lacked seasoning. The special fried rice my fiancé had was ok.
Would recommend to anyone looking for Chinese food with or without dietary restrictions. Dining in is always a great experience they serve you tea and usually have a crock pot of fresh soup for free. Options range from yummy tofu dishes that feel healthy-ish to imitation orange chicken. The fried rice isn’t amazing but still a great side dish.
