Visited from Denver, (we have Cheba huts all over the place there) and this was by far the best experience I had at any Cheba Hut- I forgot your name, but to the blonde who took my order that night: you were stellar! Thanks for the laughs and good energy!
I walked in and was helped right away. All of the workers were friendly and the options were endless! High quality sandwiches here, and honestly, I don't know if I can go anywhere else. The meats and breads were noticeably fresh, the veggies were still crispy, and the sauce choices are delicious! Definitely coming back! Subway who? Lol
My coworker recommended this place to me so o decided to check it out (SPOILER IT WAS SOOO WORTH IT). I ordered online for a pickup order for a 15 minute pickup time. I got there in about 10 with 5 minutes to spare. From the moment I walked into this place to the moment i walked out, the customer service was too notch! The environment was really one of a kind! As i mentioned i got there early. The staff immediately apologized. Honestly for no reason they were rightfully BUSY, I ordered during peak dinner hours- they said it would take about 10 minutes and kindly offered me a fountain drink as a courtesy. Looking past the courtesy beveragino. The staff approaches everyone with such kindness and the wait time was seamless due to the environment being so intriguing. I ordered the 5-0 and my boyfriend ordered the Panama Red both were extra tasty!! My coworker highly recommends the French onion soup which I will be going back to try! Please eat here if you have an opportunity!
My wife and I were in Springfield to buy a car and decided to grab some lunch after picking up the car. I was in the mood for a sandwich and came across Cheba Hut, where they offer sandwiches in 4, 8, and 12-inch sizes, with a choice of white, wheat, or garlic toasted hero bread. My wife ordered the Griefo with cream cheese, veggies, guacamole, cheese, and more, on an 8-inch sub minus the mushrooms. I opted for the White Widow with grilled chicken, bacon, ranch, mushrooms, provolone, and more on a 12-inch sub. We both enjoyed the garlic bread with our sandwiches, which held up well with all the sauces. The sandwiches were tasty, but be prepared for a wait, especially near the University of Oregon. We went for lunch after 1 pm and still had to wait for our sandwiches.
First time I've ever gone here and I'm going to only cheba hut now when I want a sub
Cheba Hut offers a distinctive sandwich experience, merging playful culture with diverse flavors. While the staff's laid-back vibe occasionally leads to quirky operational choices—such as inconsistent delivery rules—the food generally impresses. Diners rave about expertly crafted sandwiches like the vegetarian Magic Mushroom and the hearty AK47 French dip, praising the freshness of ingredients and the creativity in sandwich names. However, quality can be hit or miss, leading to mixed reviews. Overall, Cheba Hut stands out for its vibrant atmosphere and friendly service, making it a memorable stop for enthusiasts of unique culinary experiences.

I had not been to this restaurant since I lived in Eugene years ago, and it did not disappoint! The food was delicious. The woman at the front desk was kind, and there was a young, curly-haired male server who was very handsome. He even offered my pregnant friend a free drink while we waited, which was a nice gesture. He also held my sandwich for me when I had to use the restroom. Overall, he made my dining experience much more enjoyable. I am very happy I decided to visit while in town.
The ambiance was lacking. I ordered the nachos and the "gay" sandwich, and they were delicious. I wish there was a restaurant like this in Washington, because I would definitely be a regular customer.
Unequivocally: 4/5 Delicious eats? Fun stoner vibe? Friendly staff? Ample seating? Family Fun? Yes, yes, yes, yes, annnd yes!
Pretty good price, great attention, really good bread. Very cool decoration. The food was good too. Recommended!
Yummy food, cold suds and a Very-Eugene atmosphere : I love the Bomb' [meatball sandwich] Enjoy! But wait: I Went back the other day not sure what went wrong, but no suds and they forgot all the toppings I ordered and when I asked about my woefully-skimpy sandwich, they threw on a couple of slices of tomato and told me the rest was under the cheese (funny thing I never saw or tasted ANY sign of those toppings), making me pretty unhappy about my $13 Skimp-Bomb

The two girls working tonight (September 23, 2022) were so kind and understanding with me coming 10 minutes before closing. As someone who worked in the food industry, I hate doing this, but they were sweet and really cool about it! Made an amazingsandwich and were rockstars. Hope I didn?t hold y?all back too much and thanks again!!!
An interesting place, to say the least. A culture of people that still think weed is so cool that they insist on being as baked as the sandwiches they make. This would be fine anywhere else, but for Cheba Hut, the chronic causes them to chronically destroytheir business and make decisions that have no logic to support them. Cheba Hut has elected to stop taking third party deliveryorders at 8:54pm. Fortunately, you can still order on their website until 9:05. Afterwards, they will still accept orders-butonly if you call. All of these strange deadlines have another caveat: That?s only on a Thursday. On Saturdays, the rules arecompletely different. Suffice it to say, they aren?t any less ?interesting.? The food is good. Though highly inconsistent, itis mostly decent. It?s the culture that comes along with this place that I will never understand.
Hands-down the best Italian Sandwich I?ve ever had! I was just passing by looking for a local sandwich shop and I?m glad I came to this one! I will be stopping here every time I pass Eugene from now on! Awesome employees! Awesome environment! And awesomesandwiches! This place deserves 10 stars easy!
Fresh fresh and so good! The vegetarian magic mushroom is so good. These sandwich makers are well trained and happy. This makes food taste better. Under $30 for 2 people. Five stars. If you found this review to be helpful please like it.
This place has amazing crazy sandwiches. Fun place to chill and graze.

We stumbled upon this restaurant after leaving the Saturday Market and couldn't believe our luck! I ordered the AK47 French dip, while my husband got the La Canna Italian. Both dishes were absolutely delicious!
