Since it was nearing 9PM, most places... read more We arrived late in Etretat and after checking in our B&B we headed into the center of town to find some place for dinner. Since it was nearing 9PM, most places were closing up. Desperate after a while of rejections, we settled for L'escale, thinking...it would be interesting to try French pizza. Both service and food were marginal at best the bill for what turned out to be 3 bar pies and a bottle of water came to over $60 American. Clearly this is a dining choice for the desperate tourist.

My son ordered entrecote steak, i opted for the mussels and my husband ordered patat normande. The fries were thick just the way i...like it. The food was not so bad. My son enjoyed his steak. The drinks were very expensive..but i noticed its everywhere expensive. My husband ordered coffee with milk, a big one..which is not really big..it costs 9euro. They dont even gave any sweets just like we are used to have in belgium. The mussels were not bad at all but have different taste as belgium mussels. For a very simple meal plus 2x cola and soda water, 1 coffee and 1 dame blanche afterwards..it costs us 90euro. Not bad but the drinks costs too much.
