Merlot’s rooftop is open for the summer and it is a fantastic outdoor patio. The space is inviting with a nice bar. Service is friendly. The menu is different from the indoor one.There are some fun summer cocktails on offer and interesting appetizers good for sharing. What euro w doesn't like about Merlot Restaurant:
For a french restaurant from starter to main dishes the food was tasteless. Lack of flavour. This was the second time we came their in the hope the first time was just one of those days. The poorest French onion soup, flavourless steak, added ketchup and butter to add some flavour at least they did not mess up the frites. Other mains similar lack flavour. Awesome place, great atmosphere, reasonably priced and food that never disappoints!
We shared and enjoyed the lamb kidneys and tripe over lunch, while it flurried outside.
Fantastic. Always a great atmosphere, authentic french feel to the place, delicious food and good memories.
Enjoyed Merlot. Went for dinner on a Friday night with SO...surprisingly busy for before 6pm. We had the onion tart escargots followed by the chicken breast veal paillard. Everything was good, but not amazing, except the chicken which was under-seasoned. Service and ambiance were also good. Overall an enjoyable experience for about $100 (with 1/2 litre of wine).
Excellent time, excellent wine. Party of eight of us went for dinner. Wonderful experience. Extensive wine list. Wonderful food. Friendly, knowledgeable and attentive staff, lovely atmosphere. Well worth the .<br/ <br/ Will absolutely return.
