Went to Freedom Cafe on Sunday, left very underwhelmed. The location was okay, we sat at the outside seating at the back since the front was busy. Our waiter was a pleasant guy, he visited the table often but never stayed long enough to get everything we wanted so we found ourselves calling on him often. Our food left alot to be desired. . . The service is good, the food is from this world and the quiet environment is very peaceful. Very private facilities. The cocktail menu is available and clean toilets. Conference facilities and rooms are available at the neighbouring Concierge Hotel.
Great atmosphere, music and staff. Enjoy the pasta I had and the beverage speciality (buy a free of 4-6, not sure if it is only for Friday)
I was in durban on vacation, we made a turn after freedom cafe to breakfast, we ended up sitting there all day, iw never in a restaurant for more than 8 hours. we had to cancel all our plans for this day, we were so comfortable, it is such a private and beautiful space. the deco interior and exterior, modern and yet vintage style. I love it!. the hospitable, the respect of the personal, it is from this world. umadlamini never served us tired from our demands, with their beautiful personality and smile. I will recommend this place to anyone I know that durban would visit. thanks for making my day so beautiful. I was there on 3 november 20019.
Good food. Antique and stylish at once. Enjoy the posing eggs or avo on toast. Beesting Cake is a winner
The ambiance is exquisite and everyone is incredibly friendly. Staff are well trained and very hospitalable. We had breakfast here and it was amazing. The place itself is incredibly picturesque and beautiful. Truly a tranquil little gem snuggled in the busy city. 10/10 would recommend.
