We always go to FL in October, and that is when the Everblades play their home opener. A great way to start that evening is to have dinner at the Sports Pub. They have standard bar food, and they can make just about any drink or cocktail you desire. The food has always arrived hot and in a timely fashion, and we have found he waitstaff to be very efficient and friendly. View all feedback.
What Newton Wilderman doesn't like about Breakaway Sports Pub:
Breakaway is a great place to eat during hockey games, although it can be quite cold. The food was delicious, but the temperature in the restaurant was a bit chilly. However, it's not as cold during concerts. They provide warm coats for guests to wear, which can always be taken off if needed. View all feedback.
I don't usually leave reviews, but after our recent experience, I felt it necessary to share. This was by far the worst service I have ever received. Our waitress, Jasmine, was unprofessional and incompetent. We ordered drinks, only to be told that the table next to us was more important and were served before us, which was unacceptable. After reminding her twice, our drinks arrived 30 minutes later. When we ordered our food, it was wrong not once, but twice. As a gesture of goodwill, they offered to comp one meal for the inconvenience, but were shocked to realize it was Wednesday, not Friday when kids eat free. Despite the long wait, our food was actually quite good. It's unfortunate that such poor service marred our experience, as we won't be returning and it seems others might feel the same. We tried to speak with the manager, but were informed he was too busy. Overall, a disappointing visit that could have been handled better by the staff.
I recently attended a hockey game in the Florida Everglades at the Hertz Arena. My group arrived early so we could dine at Breakaway Sports Pub before the puck dropped. The restaurant is aesthetically pleasing and the food was delicious. The servers were excellent as well. My only suggestion would be to add Samuel Adams to their craft beer selection. Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed the experience. Also, there are great views of the arena from the pub.

Eating cold, stay away from the fish tacos diarrhea
Best Sports Pub ever. Great service at the bar. Ashlyn, James, and Anthony are very nice, and work very hard. They are running the bar very efficiently a d smoothly. The food is awesome. It is difficult to choose from the menu, because there is so much choice.
