I have lived on and off the Costa many years This is by far my favourite Bar. Any time of day or evening. Fantastic place for breakfast. Super freindly Roxanne who runs it. And fab tapas It is easily the coolest place for a chilled G&T or Cava or cup of Earl Grey Tea! Please support this beautiful place which is situated just near the bridge steps to Benavista near the Benamara Gradens Swumming Pool in a gated garden area parking outside !
Lovely bar tapas popular with locals ex pats alike especially around Happy Hour! Bit tucked away but once found you’d, like us, become a “regular” we had a steak wrap which was excellent! The lovely Roxy is a bubbly friendly host! Go there!!
I was staying at a friend's house in Benamara Gardens for three days and was warmly welcomed by Roxy as soon as I walked through the door for a pre-dinner glass of Ribera de Duero. I did this on each of my three nights. It was the end of November so pretty quiet although it is clearly very popular with the complex's residents and with locals alike. I also had breakfast there a couple of times. Tostada cafe con leche for me but Roxy offers a full English breakfast too. Very pleasant little bar. Open all year round too.
The Mud Hut is not the easiest place to find, but well worth persevering! If you look for Benemara Gardens on the coast side of the footbridge over the A7 there is a small car park which you go through to the pool area and there is the Mud Hut (as previously described! .Although it's in the urbanisation grounds it is not only open to the public but extremely welcoming! The staff managed by the lovely Roxy do a great job, and the prices are very reasonable. If you want a decent drink in nice company....try it!
