Also the pl... read more Bad quality food, small portions and overpriced. Limited menu, only frozen nuggets for the children and very tiny beef burger, worse than MacDonald! Also the place is old, not nice designed and it gives a feeling that the owners don’t care. The only good point is the terrace with the sea view but not enough for us to enjoy our experience. We will never go back!

On... read more We love the west coast of Majorca and had always wanted to stop at Es Grau for a drink and a snack. Dinner is not possible because of the early closing time. On our last Majorca trip we arrived at Es Grau just after 6pm, thinking it would be a beautiful place to enjoy a “sundowner”, only to find out it was already closed. This time we rang the restaurant in advance before leaving Palma, just to make sure when the restaurant actually closed. I was told that it closed at 6pm. We arrived at Es Grau at 5.27pm and went inside. We were met by a very gruff voice stating “we are closed!” I told him we had rung in advance and would be quite happy just to have a drink, but he was not at all interested and reminded us once again that the restaurant was closed and now the toilets and windows had to be cleaned, so everything was ready for the next day. He, who we found out later was “the boss”, became continuously more aggressive and obnoxious. In the time we had been arguing, we could have easily had a drink. We were totally frustrated and decided that the best plan of action was to carry on to the next village of Estellencs…….and it was still only 5.45pm. Just as a matter of interest, at least 10 other “guests” followed us into the restaurant, but they were not served either. Just horrible.

Then when we went to pay they said the card payment didn't go through and where quite pushy and rude but when I showed them it had on my phone they said ok. I guess this is one of their scams for tourists. I would suggest you check out the view and then move on you will get much better service in Estellencs, Banyalbufar, Andrax, Calvia
