Back home we had looked for popular restaurants and found Trattoria Pizzeria Venezia so we decided to try it on Wednesday, our last evening in Essen. We took tram 107 from Essen Hauptbahnhof (Essen Central Railway Station) and found the tram line beside the underground line 11. We travelled two stops to Rüttenscheider Stern. It’s a bit confusing when you come up into the busy traffic at Rüttenscheider Stern and there are at least three exits from the underground. I suggest you look for the tram rails that come from west in Zweigerstrasse and go to the east in Klarastrasse. Look along the rails to find the bright yellow letters of Commerzbank situated between Klarastrasse and the northern part of Rüttenscheider Strasse, where you’ll find the pizzeria on the left hand side at number 52 after 200 meter walk. We arrived to the busy restaurant at 20:30 hrs so we were lucky to get a table. The friendly service made us relax and feel at home. We had to wait 15 minutes to order but that was fine because the sound level decreased notably when the food was served to the waiting customers. We ordered a big bottle of Peligrino, a glass each of Montepulciano. Two Penne Filetto and Tiramisu for my sister and Panna Cotta for me. We enjoyed our meal and we were content to pay 59 euros for our meal.
PURE GREATNESS!! Every thing I ordered was delicious. I loved that the butter is infused with herbs. The soup portion is really good Very welcoming and friendly staff. Thank you all I will definitely visit again....
One of the greatest Italian food restaurants. I totally love the place and certainly going to visit again with my family or friends. The food portion is very good too
