O Pombo - Esposende

This place seems to survive mostly from the take-away service. As I arrived, around noon on a sunday, the dining room was empty. In times of covid, I took it as an adva tage, although wondering if it related to food quality... The menu was very limited, it had only five options, all grilled meats. I chose spare ribs. These were served with rice and fries. No salad. The rice was plain parboiled, a bit stiff for my taste and the fries were straignt out of the frozen food section and deep fried. No big joy there either. The ribs were well grilled but the meat was a tad dry, which is unexpected for ribs! So, fair price for the amount of food served, but not worth revisiting as the food quality did not reaaly made me happy. The true disapointment came with the bill, as the price of the beverage and the bread basket was an outright rip-off. Wont be returning.

We had chicken, and it was a very good one to be honest. However they have charged 5 EUR for bread and butter. or 1.50 EUR per espresso when the average price around is 0.80 EUR... There is no reason for the service to be that expensive.

Comida razoável, queria cobrar 1 prato de azeitonas quando eu só provei um prato de azeitonas
