Contribute FeedbackTo start, we were served some delicious popper rolls, followed by appetizers of chorizo mussels and a Vintana wedge salad, both of which met our expectations. Given this positive experience, we were excited to receive our main courses. My wife ordered the Grilled Tenderloin and Shrimp Brochette “as rare as possible,” while I chose the Pan-Seared Mahi Mahi. Unfortunately, things took a turn when our meals arrived. My wife’s dish was overcooked, with the shrimp being dry and tough. My Mahi Mahi was also overcooked and came out completely white and flaky. Additionally, the roasted potatoes were overdone to the point of being hard to cut, and excessively cheesy, which was disappointing. At that moment, we were quite unhappy. We considered sending the meals back but didn't want to upset our waitress, especially since she was managing a large table nearby that seemed to be having issues with their steaks as well. After our meal, our waitress kindly brought us complimentary dessert bread to celebrate our anniversary, even though we hadn’t mentioned the occasion. However, based on our experience, we decided we would not return. If I had known, I would have taken my wife to Donovans for a better dining experience to celebrate our 41 years of marriage.
The food is outstanding, and the service is exceptional. The general manager, Greg, attended to all our needs and even brought a special bottle of wine for me.
Hello, that was great!
