The Grand Tea Room - Escondido

We love coming here year after year. It so quaint and lovely. The food is delicious and filling and the atmosphere is beautiful with other ladies (and gents) enjoying their tea as well. I highly recommend coming here if you are in town but make your reservations ahead as they do fill up! Also the strawberry Long Island tea and French crème brûlée are our favorites.

Many varieties of tea. Fun to try. Good selection of tea sandwiches and cakes. Very cute tearoom. Nice gift shop.

Went to grand tea room for a 4pm seating on a thursday. the shop is quaint and cute. they have a decent sized tea room in the back but you can tell they would fill up fast for mother’s day/holidays. there were 3 other groups there with us so it was less than half full.we ordered decaf english breakfast and milk oolong both were tasty. we ordered the grand tea $40) that includes soup. we each ordered the tomato and pumpkin. solid flavor and size. we were also offered quiche or shepard’s pie went with the quiche costco quiche is better) and chose the cream scone 2 other options with a nut/fruit combo).all the sandwiches, dessert, and fruit cup were delicious and it was SUPER filling. we took 2 of the 3 desserts home. overall a wonderful experience worth the price!

I received a gift card to go to the tea room from my grandson's girlfriend who join me along with my grandson and I truly enjoyed the experience! The tea was wonderful and you get to choose two, then when you finish that your able to choose other types and flavors! The food and tea was delicious! The service and all the people who work there were knowledgeable, friendly, and welcoming! I went back a few days later to make some purchases in the small shop in the front of the dining area, and they were just as friendly, their merchandise is truly unique with several items I've never seen before. I've gone to other tea houses and I will definitely go back again. What really made a difference is that when I went with my grandson, who didn't really dress up : , the people who work there were just so gracious and nice! some places I've been to would give you, you know, the look but not here! I can't recommend this place enough! The price is reasonable and you get so much but you just can't go wrong here! They don't rush you at all, it was a wonderful, relaxing few hours out of my day but I will always have the memory of a great afternoon spending a leisurely afternoon with them!
