What Aaron Stiedemann doesn't like about La Takiza:
La Takiza had many different kind of tacos, but lacking in flavor. The best thing was the hand made tortillas and fast serve to give us the tacos we ordered. I also order a flan, but it tasted old and dry or left out of thr refrigerator too long. View all feedback.

Don’t waste your time coming to eat here. I came cause I saw the YouTube saying best tacos they give you tongue sliced not true whe I got mine there chopped I told the lady she said she gave it to me like that cause the tongue was to soft not true cause the other lady told here just to give them to me like that.they were so rude about it so I return them told her to give me money back. I will never come back again specially coming from an hour away . Bad advertisement don’t waste your time thinking they will give you the tongue in slices.
I recently visited La Takiza, a Mexican food spot that came highly recommended by some friends. However, my experience left me with mixed feelings and an overall mediocre impression. While the freshly made tacos were undoubtedly the highlight, I found several aspects that fell short of my expectations.Let's start with the positives. One of the standout elements at La Takiza was the hot sauce. It had a delightful kick and added a much-needed flavor boost to the dishes. The heat level was just right, and I appreciated the authentic taste. Additionally, the service I received was exceptional. The staff was attentive, friendly, and went above and beyond to ensure a pleasant dining experience. However, the disappointment began with the main attraction: the asada meat. Unfortunately, the meat still had noticeable fat in it, which significantly affected the overall enjoyment of the dish. While some people may appreciate the richness and flavor that fat can bring, I personally prefer leaner cuts of meat in my tacos. The presence of fat in the asada detracted from the otherwise delicious flavors and texture. On the other hand, I must commend the establishment for their dedication to making freshly made tacos. The tortillas were soft, warm, and had a delightful aroma. This added an authentic touch to the dining experience, and it was evident that care was taken in preparing the tacos. It's worth noting that the taco fillings, aside from the asada, were satisfactory and complemented the tortillas well.Beyond the tacos, the overall menu at La Takiza lacked variety. While I understand that simplicity can be a key aspect of some Mexican cuisine, I found myself wanting more options to explore and experience different flavors. The lack of diversity in the menu limited my ability to truly appreciate the breadth of Mexican cuisine. In conclusion, La Takiza had its strengths and weaknesses. The hot sauce and exceptional service were definite highlights, while the asada meat with visible fat and the limited menu options left much to be desired. For those seeking freshly made tacos, this place might be worth a visit. However, if you're looking for a more well-rounded Mexican dining experience, there may be better options available in the area.
I saw on YouTube that the lengua was served as a slice on tacos, and when I got my tacos, it was chopped like any other place. There is nothing special about the taste on the lengua. I also ordered the cochinita pibil tacos and the meat was missing taste, It seems like they're not using patitas or ribs that would totally add flavor to the cochinita. Their birria taco was bad it tasted like the birria they would sell in small packages at Costco. They do have handmade tortillas and the tacos are served in only one tortilla which is nice. I ordered five tacos and they said I could get a free soda. Stay away from the so-called guacamole sauce its bad.
