Vester Vedsted Vingård - Esbjerg

We had a really delicious diner here. The hostess is a really sweet and friendly woman, passionate about her and her family business. A small tour through the winery was a nice extra. If we ever come back to Denmark, we will visit this restaurant again!

This place is an insiders' tip because the atmosphere is warm and cordial. We especially recommend the self-made cake, that tasted so good! The owner was very open and speaks many languages.

Great food for reasonable prices. The owners show great passion and a love for details. Wonderful experience.

Absolutely amazing! A place you must visit if you’re in the area

First the good things: It is a very nice location and everything tasted fresh and handmade. We we able to book for a group with short notice. Now the reasons why I am only able to give 3 out of 5 points with a very very big amount of good will: It was quite pricy and although the ingredients were fresh and nicely arranged, the taste was nothing special and not comparable with other experiences we had in this price category. The main reason why I found it a very unpleasant experience was the meal that our children got served. I understand that this kind of kitchen doesn’t serve special food for children, but the plate we got for them looked more like a persiflage of prison food than something that you get in a restaurant. It was one tiny potatoe (smaller than a ping pong ball) on one side and a grey sausage on the other side. No vegetables and just one potatoe. Looking back, I am mad about myself for not complaining right there. The bill was a surprise as well. While paying, we went through the positions we had and as I didn’t want to make a fuss about small things, I also paid the coffee that at least 2 out of 3 persons hadn’t ordered, but consumed since we thought it was part of the menu. I went through the bill the next day and simply don’t understand what has been extra charged as there are much more positions on it than it should be and it only says “restaurant” for every position. Again, my fault for not checking it right away, but nothing that should happen. All together, a not convincing experience and I would not recommend to visit.
