We had a booking for 2 nights, but after a drive of 3 hours, we arrived at the Moselle and we encountered flooded roads. We checked with the hotel, and they tol... read more We had a booking for 2 nights, but after a drive of 3 hours, we arrived at the Moselle and we encountered flooded roads. We checked with the hotel, and they told us to get to them through another route, so we started driving to the hotel. While drivig, we heard on the radio that the city of Cochem would overflow in the next hours, so we decided to cancel the hotel and drive the 3 hours back home. It was a well thought decision, because if something would happen to my car, the insurance certainly wouldn't interfere, because the area was flooded. We called the hotel again to update them on our decision and they would check with Mrs. Pollmanns to see if we could get a voucher and come back to us. The next day, I contacted the hotel again, and the said that because 23 of the 24 rooms showed up, we couldn't get a voucher. Very friendly and commercial and 320 euro down the drain.
