When I sit down at the table of a gourmet restaurant, I hope to be amazed, shaken... that it goes beyond the box. Getting value for my money isn't just about eating well, I want to have an experience. This was clearly the case at “Hors-Champs”. From the first step into this sublime farm, there is a story that is told and the owners follow through on their idea. The menu is a story in itself, it gives a great dynamism to the meal. Warm and available staff, room not too noisy despite its success, open kitchen, succulent dishes made from local products. Even the tableware was made by ceramists, potters and blacksmiths from the region. This was a very successful evening. The concept of this restaurant is great. However, you must be open to discovery and ready to take taste paths that you would tend to avoid on a daily basis. They are also completely transparent on this subject. On the other hand, I can understand that it is more complicated for intolerances and allergies. The “I don’t like it and I don’t want to taste it” can go their way. To do again in another season! Superb experience at hors champ! The 5-course menu took us on a journey into ultra-local gastronomy with particular attention to all these producers. Chef Stefan and his team take great care. Every aspect of the place and its presentation, from the carefully chosen decorative elements to the overall ambiance, was done with great care and taste. In conclusion, we can't wait to return!
