This restaurant in Syros has the best coffee and artwork. Spiros, the host, is fantastic - he is good company, an excellent artist, very kind, and intelligent. The lunch menu is priced at €5–10 per person, and the food, service, and atmosphere all receive top marks. View all feedback.
What La di da doesn't like about Plastico:
I was regrettably talked into visiting this place recently, and I found it to be pretentious and unsophisticated. I placed an order for Earl Grey tea (nothing wrong with that: it was 4pm), and the owner/server stared at me as if I had just landed from outer space, or as if he had never heard of this brand of tea before (or else he’s just a misogynist). It's worth a coffee stop at Plastico! It is a place with a pleasant atmosphere and special decoration (the walls are decorated with works of artists), in a central but not noisy part of Hermoupolis. My favorite corner is the loft, in the gallery of the owners' works, where I can enjoy my book with quality coffee and Italian snacks. Amazing people, unique content and events great Italian panini and deserts. Music lives, art exhibitions. A special place to enjoy your coffee an drink in a very nice small street of the centre of hermoupolis.
I was regrettably talked into visiting this place recently, and I found it to be pretentious and unsophisticated. I placed an order for Earl Grey tea (nothing wrong with that: it was 4pm), and the owner/server stared at me as if I had just landed from outer space, or as if he had never heard of this brand of tea before (or else he’s just a misogynist). I was forced to point to the item on the menu where it was listed quite clearly, and then had to wait a half hour for it to be delivered. This little man was patently rude and inadequately trained/educated. If you enjoy this kind of boorish and crude behaviour, and hanging with a poseur, wannabe clientele, Café Plastico (an apt name for this place) is for you! Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1
