We ordered a few items from the regular brea... read more My German girlfriend and I visited here to have breakfast it's the first time we've been here in a couple of years. We ordered a few items from the regular breakfast menu, which were prepared and arrived in a reasonable amount of time. The...food was okay, though condiments are provided in their single-serve packaging (plastic sachet each of mustard, butter, and jam) it would be nicer if they were better presented in small dishes or the like it just makes the place seem cheap... ...as does the unfriendly waitress who served us. Really, how difficult is it to try and seem at least a little bit welcoming and pleasant when waiting on diners? Our waitress was cold and unfriendly, and seemed unable to operate the card payment facilities correctly while we were trying to pay, she couldn't get my Mastercard to work, then declined to try my other credit card I was carrying (also a MC), then took four attempts to get my GF's German bankcard to work. No apology for the wait or hassle. The visit would have been okay apart from the lacklustre service several local friends have reported similarly poor experiences here, so we won't be burdening Sax' with our business again.

It was a nice afternoon so all of the outside tables were full and everyone seemed to be enjoying themselves. My waiter was friendly and my glass of wine and pasta arrived in...a timely manner. They also serve breakfast, which I am hoping to try one morning
