Bob’s offers an upscale dining experience with a polished atmosphere and attentive service, highlighted by standout servers like Alana and Rachel. The menu features well-prepared steaks, notably the filet mignon and pork chops, alongside flavorful sides and fresh-baked rolls. While some dishes, such as the Caesar salad and mashed potatoes, earn praise, there are occasional inconsistencies with temperature and seasoning. Prices are on the higher side, especially when adding cocktails, which may limit repeat visits for locals. Overall, Bob’s delivers a satisfying experience with room for improvement, appealing to those seeking quality food and a refined setting.
The food was good, though a bit pricey considering the decor and atmosphere. The television and overall vibe reminded me more of a small-town family restaurant than a place where I would expect to pay $60 for a steak. While the food was decent, I found that it leaned more towards a family dining experience than a fine dining one. It seems like this restaurant is struggling with its identity. I would envision it as a blend of fine cuisine and an Outback Steakhouse. I would return, as I had no issues, but the experience felt a bit unusual; it definitely seems to be grappling with who it wants to be.
The crab cake bites were decent but contained too much filler. The fillet was properly cooked and enjoyable, and the mashed potatoes were good, although there was an excessive amount of gravy. The vegetable side was flavorful, but a bit on the sweet side. They were out of prime rib, so I opted for the ribeye, which turned out to be one of the thinnest I've ever encountered. Unfortunately, it wasn't very tender and was underseasoned.
We had a reservation, but our table wasn't ready when we arrived, which wasn't a major issue. Our server was excellent, and the food was delicious, though the soup fell short.
The pesto scallop dinner was absolutely exquisite! I've always had a great experience dining at Bob's Steakhouse. Josh, our server, was incredibly attentive!
The food is good, though it feels a bit overpriced considering the decor and ambiance. The vibe is more like a small-town family restaurant, which makes it hard to justify paying $60 for a steak. However, the meal came out very fast, again giving it a family restaurant feel rather than that of a fine dining establishment. It seems this place is struggling to define its identity; it feels like a mix between fine dining and an Outback Steakhouse. I would return, as I had no issues, but it did feel a little odd—like it was experiencing an identity crisis.
