Very nice cozy place. Food offers enough and there is something for vegetarians too. Operation... the older gentleman was the best and had an overview of the service purchase. The food portions were very large for a reasonable price and very tasty. Waiting time was too long. You can recommend the restaurant. View all feedback.
What Marlene Janssen doesn't like about Brasserie Zum Mainzerhof:
On 4. May 2019 we stayed there with 11 people and waited 2 hours for our food, although the restaurant was not full. Unfriendly and overwhelmed owner. Food medium, lettuce not properly made, frying potatoes not right. There are better restaurants in Erfurt. View all feedback.
I used the service with my sports group, work colleagues and family a total of 6x and was disappointed every time. With over 10 employees, the entire staff is overwhelmed. A usual gesture of apology. Accredited closed events were not observed. The reference of my family to the celebration in September “don’t ask here anymore” clearly shows dissatisfaction.

Yeah, it's different, but it's very good. The foods are therefore freshly prepared, if necessary not yesterday. If necessary, special requests are met. Thank you for that and until soon I will be happy and regularly again
... so the guest reads at the entrance of the Brasserie at Mainzerhofplatz. This is not clumsy by the host people, because any criticism is taken out of the sails. So the guest can praise or mecker, he's warned. Here “the slightly different kind” is celebrated. But the praise can still be more extensive. The food is fresh and matched to the season, so the various Pfifferlingsgerichts are currently to be highlighted. The preparation takes time, which should also at last curb the restless guest (for quick kitchen there are other facilities), reward quality and taste. The host, sometimes more, sometimes less lukewarm with his guests in conversation, is the numerous regular guests: here you are quite well lifted and just “on the somewhat different way”.
Haute cuisine cannot be expected here, there is an honest local cuisine with wine or beer accompaniment. I don't know where French cuisine is to come from. The service is friendly and I didn't have to wait long. I chose a Thüringer Rostbratsl, there was a large portion of meat (satisfied slightly, but probably this is so) with well made roast potatoes and salad. With a glass of wine from the region and a mineral water I paid €16.90, a quite reasonable price. I sat outside, also that was pleasant and overall that was a good experience, even if it was not a star hour that you remember years later. But that is not the claim.
