The Sportsman - Erewash

The staff at this restaurant are charming and accommodating, the food is delicious, and the function room is fantastic. The addition of the garden room outside is a nice touch, allowing diners to enjoy their meal on comfortable benches and cushions in the open air.

We have visited the Sportsman a few times this summer, mainly due to their lovely new outdoor area which is great to sit in for a few drinks. Staff are very friendly.

Good sized function room with its own bar ,stage etc which is great for parties and events. Staff are helpful and it's seating arrangements and dance floor make it great to socialise. It's not posh but it's a good venue. Been here numerous times

Bit of a rough, edge of town pub, ok if you want to watch the sports, but very noisy, beer not kept well.

I cannot praise the Amanda and her staff highly enough after holding the wake celebration of my wife's life after her funeral funeral on August The food was outstanding even keeping the older aunty uncle, eighty years plus brigade satisfied we...were never rushed throughout the day which started at and went on until The food just kept being replaced constantly with a superb variety of different foods not just the standard sandwich, sausage roll and pork pie you name it, it was served The bar staff were magnificent no one ever waiting to be served and all of them were respectfully dressed in black. As it was a sunny day the outdoor seating area was also perfect for those who wanted a breath of fresh air or just time to contemplate the day If ever a day like this could be a glorious send off then this was it.
