What Paradise778598 likes about The Observatory:
Great choice of real ales as always. I like to try some of the guest ales and they are always kept well. Late afternoon there is always a nice relaxed buzzing atmosphere. As with all Spoons pubs, the prices are great value. Some of the bar staff could be more welcoming, except Jay who always acknowledges customers and is happy to have a word while he is serving. He should be in charge! View all feedback. What Jonofromcas doesn't like about The Observatory:
Visited with friends who we had not seen for too long other than via FaceTime due to the distance between where we live and to covid and we wanted somewhere to sit, have a drink and catch up. read moreThe Observatory pub offers a mixed experience for diners and patrons alike. While many appreciate its vibrant atmosphere, affordability, and a menu boasting well-received dishes like the ultimate burger and delicious breakfasts, service quality can be hit or miss. Some customers have reported welcoming staff interactions, while others have encountered disinterested or rude personnel, particularly from specific team members. Despite these inconsistencies, the pub's prime location, accessibility, and ongoing special events contribute to its popularity. For those seeking a casual, budget-friendly venue, The Observatory could still be a worthwhile choice—though one should be prepared for varied service experiences.
