We arrived at 17:30 and was greeted by a warm welcome. The staff were very friendly and the services was quick. We had a drink in the garden the most lovely little space while we waited for our table . We then got shown to our table and given a menu . Once we placed our order . Eat is nice, if you're ready to wait! what I found hard to swallow is to hear that the landlord/cook sitting with their friends family talking about how difficult their evening was and then discuss us because we had commented on the waiting time for eating! we sat the next table and heard/ lip read everything. so sad for a village pub! we hope that we have found our new little jewel in the opposite, but unfortunately... Wow, what a fantastic meal! The portions are generous and the food is tasty and wholesome. They have a great selection of drinks and the atmosphere is friendly and welcoming. They even have table games that you can play for free. I would recommend this restaurant any day of the week, as I have visited during the week and it always has a great vibe.
This family-friendly pub offers fantastic food! The new chef has created a wonderful menu and the dishes are delicious. The owners and staff are very welcoming. I highly recommend this place and can't wait to go back!
Sadly the new menu is limited, expensive disappointing. We waited nearly two hours to get our mains. When a side of leaves is a veg choice comes in a ramekin you are in for disappointment. Several orders were wrong veg some meats not available. Sadly we won't return if new chef doesn't cater for the pub's regular possible clientele.
We all met for a family birthday lunch and it was just brilliant! The service was outstanding, everyone was so attentive and recommended various items on the menu! Thank you so much for such a wonderful time! Will definitely return!
