Nestled near a railway line, this quaint cafe has garnered mixed reviews, showcasing its charm and culinary offerings. While some visitors were disappointed with overcooked dishes and inconsistently friendly service, many praised the cozy atmosphere and hearty meals, like homemade pie and mash and delicious breakfasts. Satisfactory beverages and excellent value for money were frequently highlighted, particularly in warm and cozy settings. Diners especially enjoyed the smoked salmon bagel and robust chili dishes, with the cafe emerging as a delightful stop for cyclists and families alike. The pie and mash at this restaurant were just like I remembered from my time in London. The owner, who also happens to be a vegetarian, makes delicious pies that even my friend enjoyed. The menu has a good variety of options and there is a special discount for senior citizens. The owner was kind enough to reserve a table for us, despite some confusion caused by websites falsely claiming the restaurant was closed and a phone that was not working. The restaurant is located right next to the train tracks, offering a unique view of the London to Stansted/Cambridge trains passing by. This was my second visit to the restaurant and I will definitely be returning again.

This restaurant is a fantastic alternative if you can't make it to Walthamstow! It offers good value, friendly staff, and I would definitely recommend it. I have only ever tried the pie and mash here (why would I want anything else!), but they also make a great cup of tea.

Located near a railway line, this quaint diner is the perfect spot for a satisfying lunch. They offer delicious chili dishes, vegetarian options, homemade pie with mashed potatoes and gravy, and generously sized hot salt beef sandwiches. The prices are reasonable, and they even have a special menu for seniors at £5.75 for a main dish and dessert or homemade cake. The only area for improvement is the pasta cooking, but overall, you can't go wrong with a meal here.

Been here a few times and never been disappointed. Although the cafe seems to specialise in pie and mash we have never tried it but what we have eaten has been well cooked and good value. The service is friendly and efficient and will try to accommodate any request.
