Popped in for lunch today for the first time. Ordered the burger and chips. What an awesome burger! Big thick juicy piece of meat. Staff were lovely and the other punters were very welcoming to an outsider like me. Will be back soon! SCORR

Such a great pub! We came as part of a larger group after watching a match at the local football club. The pub was really accommodating with our booking (and very patient as lots called to book tables! . We had drinks in the sunny garden first, then went inside for food. Everything was delicious (I had the roast beef, but I’m told the chicken, lamb and burger were also delicious! . We even had desserts, and they were also really good. All of the staff were friendly and although it was busy didn’t feel rushed. We will definitely be back again!

Very nice pub. Suitable for all ages and groups. One of a few pubs that have Kronenbourg 1664 on tap.

If your in the area this is a great pub, the best pub in the area. Just listened to the landlord on the radio, talking about business tax and totally agree with him.

More information

Locals often single out bar staff by name — reviewers mention Natalie and Delboy — and the pub has a clear match-day following (one review even calls it a Spurs pub). Regulars also rave about a standout double pie & mash and a well-kept Madri lager; conversely there are claims of a coordinated campaign of low ratings from activists, so new visitors sometimes find very different experiences than the one-star reviews suggest.
