Description

Belgique, once a cherished dining destination, offers a sizable selection of pastries and cakes, along with freshly prepared savory dishes. While the quality of the food remains decent, especially for breakfast options, the flavors of desserts often lack depth, leaning more towards aesthetic appeal. A decline in service efficiency and professionalism has been noted, detracting from the restaurant's inviting ambiance. Some diners have encountered unwelcoming staff behavior, overshadowing the culinary experience. Despite these concerns, fresh fruit-topped desserts and well-crafted cakes continue to attract customers, making it a place worth visiting, albeit with tempered expectations.

Belgique used to be my favorite spot with great and friendly staff. However, in the past 2 years, there has been a constant turnover of staff and service has become slow. The current staff does not seem very professional either. During my recent visit for a drink, I had the worst coffee ever and my fiancé's drink was also not enjoyable. It's disappointing because the atmosphere is still lovely. Unfortunately, I do not plan on returning to Belgique anytime soon.

A large and tempting range of pastries and cakes. Eggs Benedict cooked well but not great value at £7.50 for 1 egg. Had a fair range of dishes for Vegans and Vegetarians. Good service

I visited the place three days in a row for work reasons, consuming in a regular basis. They have table service but Massimo, one of the staff members, told me off the third day for leaving sugar paper and a stir-stick in the table the day before when they are meant to get paid to clean the table after you leave. Apart from that they ask you to leave when you order take away but you start eating in the place. And they consider that a drink is not enough to stay in their place for more than 3 hours when you have even spent enough money in coffees and pasties for the previous three days. Horrible customer service from Massimo as a waiter and very rude addressing to me and my colleagues while saying things.

We always purchase individual desserts here for our anniversary, but only for that special occasion as they are almost £5 each. Nevertheless, the desserts are delicious, made with extremely fresh fruit, and crafted with great care.
