Description
**Bamboo Shoot Restaurant: A Mixed Bag of Experiences**
Bamboo Shoot Restaurant in Ephrata offers a mixed array of dining experiences that elicits both praise and disappointment. While the menu features standout dishes like pork egg fu young and the popular #4 Siam dinner, some diners have lamented a decline in taste and the restaurant’s need for decor updates. Service varies from prompt and efficient to disappointingly slow, but customer service remains a highlight. Despite some food criticisms, many appreciate the generous portions and value, particularly during special occasions. As the only Chinese restaurant in Ephrata, it shows potential, yet improvements could elevate its status significantly.

I had high hopes for this restaurant, but unfortunately, it did not meet expectations. The building had an unpleasant old smell, and was very cold, the thermometer on the door was reading 59 degrees. It's recommended to wear a coat for dine-in. Additionally, the portion sizes were small, the pork in the chow mien tasted dry, and the breaded chicken tasted like it was mass-produced and came from a bag or freezer.
It is pretty good for being the only Chinese restaurant in Ephrata. Food is fresh for the most part. I always take out food from here but I have seen quite a few people sitting in and eating.
I couldn’t eat another bite and I have a whole bunch of food to take home for tomorrow I can’t wait to wake up and make an omelette with the leftover Siam noodles
Worst food I ever had, should of left when I had hair in my first plate...should of looked at reviews before taking my chances..... smh basura
My mother and I ate here on a Sunday. No one else in the restaurant. $56 with tip. The only other person we saw in this restaurant was the very nice waitress. I ordered the almond chicken and barbecued pork, that's all I ate. It was extremely mediocre. I had to pull over twice on the way to Spokane for emergency stops the next day. We were both sick the next day. I do not recommend.
