Tuesday night, there was not too many restaurant open in thIs little village. We were greatly surprised by the kindness of the lady in charge. The meals were absolutely delicious... I used to this restaurant where I always spend a good time and where the torch pie is excellent, I advised a couple of friends who invited me there. In aperitif, a beer picon, rather beer than Picon.Then, three calf heads were served. All the typical dishes of the Alsace as well as pizza and some international dishes. I had the choucroute and loved it. The portion was huge!!! They packed the rest and we ate it for lunch the next day.
I had mushroom and snail pasta because i saw a review praising it. I came here at night time when most places had shut down. The place was very busy, the staff in France somehow is able to service everyone at a reasonable time, no matter how busy. However, the snails were not that great, a little musty like an evaporating towel kind of smell.
We're looking for a restaurant this Sunday noon. We've fallen on this one! 4 in families ave our 2 children we were to fill. the very good and hearty meal. the value/price ratio very reasonable. We'll be back.
