We have eaten here 3 times so far. As far as sauce katsudon places go I think its pretty middle ground. To be fair this most recent visit was very bad. We have to wait 2-3 minutes. No big deal. Our server tell us (in Japanese) that 's too bad, i 'm really sorry you had to wait but it might have been the most insincere expression of words I have heard in my life. The guy had no social skills and was just a terrible person to be on the floor seating people, taking orders, etc. We sit at the counter. The edge was super sticky. Weird paint, oil from the kitchen, I don 't know which. We ask to be reseated at a table. Its rickety and we have to fix one of the legs (not a big deal, but this is huge pet peeve of mine). We get more bad insincere service from the lifeless robot server guy. The katsudon is decent, and price is okay. No complaints there. They have a cool and delicious kimchi katsudon I haven 't seen anywhere else in Fukui. But this time both my wife and I were served rice that was too dry. And you know if I can tell rice is bad, its bad. I am nowhere near as picky about rice or nearly as sensitive as those born in Japan.
