The cafe is almost a cliche. A traditional French cafe serving regional food in a tree-shaded square in the centre of a small Village/Bourg.. It is all the better for that. The food is not exceptional but it is also not pretentious. What you get is wholesome home cooking at reasonable prices. What qualifies it for the star rating is the service which always seems to include a genuine welcome and a real warmth. If you... View all feedback.
What Emmanuelle Mercier doesn't like about L'independance:
We visited for lunch, the waitress was very friendly and the setting on the square in Entraygues is lovely to sit in and watch the world go by. The menu was reasonably priced but the main was very basic and the dessert du jour at the time was really not good at all, a soggy apple tart that had congealed. View all feedback.
Recently taken over by an extremely kind and attentive couple, the establishment is wheelchair accessible. The service is very pleasant and there is no waiting. The traditional cuisine is of good quality. We had a great time as a family. My children are big but they are suitable for younger children (dedicated spaces) I recommend
I had a great time. Very warm welcome and I ate very well. I highly recommend.
Excellent price. Delicious Cassoulet Perfect Home Thank you.
For a lunch, it's... welcome, nice setting. The dishes are very simple nothing exceptional, presentation of brouillon, for a land of gastronomy it is a pity... nothing is done home, the meat remains of good quality however. Avoid a meal with family or friends.
Friendly, pleasant and smiling staff, excellent cuisine, I highly recommend this establishment
