Today I went to Cafe Tomás and bought a small caramel cappuccino, the girl helping me said it was pesos to which I asked how much it was in dollar, she said so... read more Today I went to Cafe Tomás and bought a small caramel cappuccino, the girl helping me said it was pesos to which I asked how much it was in dollar, she said so I gave her the exact cash, I could tell she...was confused and she asked someone else if it was ok, the guy she asked gives me cents back and tells me they can’t take pennies and that I was missing pesos. I was confused and couldn’t understand why they wouldn’t take my pennies and I was somehow under pesos. The girl tells me she didn’t know how to make dollar conversions and I was very shocked that this can happen in a place in the middle of the Coastal Blvd in a city that is full of American tourist. The girl could tell my amazement so in a very rude tone she said “Just give me and the problem is over” my immediate response was that I own a coffee shop and if one of my employees talks that way to any costumer we would have a serious problem”. Both of the servers rolled their eyes at me and I just couldn’t believe it. I searched for the place’s social networks and was not surprised by the amount of people that, like me, had a horrible treatment, it’s a shame that you have a great product but also horrible costumer service. Even on social media they don’t respond to good comments, let alone bad ones. I try to support local businesses because I love to try different things and that’s why I approached your business but it was a disappointment and a pity. Hopefully you will take action into training your personnel and teach them that the guest interaction is way more important than just pretty coffees and to also learn how to properly manage pesos/dollar transaction due to the location of your shop.

I also tried to tie up the garnelensalat and they were not disappointed. for dessert is a must of the crepe cake that is not on the...Menu, but so delicious! we always had great server. Last time I was there, I tried her chai tea... also delicious! I also think their prices are quite reasonable.
