First, m... read more I visited Enniscorthy and decided to try Chipmongers because the reviews on TripAdvisor were mostly positive. However, my experience was disappointing. First, my order was forgotten, and I had to wait over half an hour for a simple meal. I ordered tacos and sausage with chips, but the waiting was excessive. I specifically requested my taco to have meat, but this instruction was ignored. When I finally received my order and drove 10km back to my accommodation, I found only a small portion of chips and a small container of mayonnaise-style taco sauce—no meat at all. It felt like a complete waste of time and money despite being very clear with my order. I suspect the confusion stemmed from the setup: Chipmongers operates within a Gala-style supermarket, where orders are placed through a small, often crowded, and mostly unattended hatch. The employee I encountered was overwhelmed, constantly apologizing to customers due to ongoing issues with orders, and seemed to be handling both food preparation and serving simultaneously. It’s clear the restaurant is understaffed, which impacts the quality of service. As for the chips, if they were as good as some reviews claim, the wait and trouble might have been worth it. Unfortunately, they were just average—nothing special—and without the meat taco sauce, I ended up discarding them. Overall, I cannot recommend Chipmongers and have no intention of returning. The menu may look appealing online, but in practice, the service and food quality left much to be desired.

Th... read more Sitting outside Chipmongers, I can’t figure out where the mix-up happened. I asked for a club but ended up with a Coke, which almost made me cancel my order. The chips were good, and the cod was excellent—I don’t understand the negative reviews. Thanks to all the staff at Chipmongers; have a great day and keep satisfying those cravings!
