Good food, and always GREAT service from Shannon. The only thing that’s missing from the past is the ability to go in and watch a game on the TV. Would really like to be able to spend more time but the inability to watch any sports on TV. Additional TVs would be nice too. View all feedback.
What Terry Pinson doesn't like about Cotton Patch Cafe:
Was wondering why the place wasn’t even busy at all in the evening. Boy did we find out why. The food was just short of terrible. Chicken fried steak was just OK, but my baked potato was cold as it could be and the cheese they put on it tasted like it was spoiled. Even my green beans tasted bad. How do you do that? I have never had a bad experience with cotton patch we was seated down had to wait 20 minutes for our server to come take our dinks witch we order our food as well because we know what we wanted then another 15 minutes for our drink then our food came an still had no utensils to eat our food then he came with plastic utensils because they didn't have any regular utensils so yes I will never come back to this on in Ennis again
When we first arrived at this location it seemed as if the hostess and the server were not getting along. When we were sat down and we went over the menu we never received any roles and this was an hour before closing whenever we went to order I ordered the chicken fried steak and the other person I was with tried to order three different things and the server proceeded to tell us that they were out of it. Once we got our food the other person that I was with ended up ordering the meatloaf. The size of the meatloaf was very sad it had little to no sauce or gravy on top of that it was extremely dry and hard almost as if it had been sitting out for a long time. We also received our salads with our meal and when we received the salad mind you it was a house salad it had bell peppers on it. I'm not sure about anybody else but I have never ordered a house salad that had bell peppers on it and unfortunately I am allergic to them. on top of that the salad was also sad looking and had wilted pieces of lettuce in it. It was not the server's fault however we did end up talking to the manager about these issues and we paid for my meal which was the chicken fried steak and in my opinion was the only thing at this restaurant that was edible. But we ended up just leaving due to all of the other issues.
The food was good and our server Jordan was great and was attentive to our table
