It is a staple of life for all trad music in Ennis and County Clare. You can find a good session pretty much every night of the week, the most popular at the time I am writing this is Wednesday and Thursday, which is perfect if you are out and about during the week. Sundays the session usually go all day and attract musicians from around the world.

Here, you w... read more If you're a tourist visiting Ennis, this bar should definitely be on your list of must-visit places. It's likely the only genuine Irish bar in town. Here, you won't encounter anyone in sequins or high heels; the clientele is typically around the age of 50, mostly consisting of locals from nearby farms who probably haven't ventured far from Ireland. You'll always hear traditional Irish music playing, and even though I don't drink Guinness, I've heard that it's one of the best on tap in the area.
