Prices were criticized, but the music was praised. Customers enjoyed the food and variety of options, highlighting the gluten-free choices. Overall, it was recommended as the best pub experience in Doolin, particularly for its live music and traditional Irish dishes. Lynch, the owner, and the staff received positive comments for their friendliness and efficiency despite being busy. The authentic vibe and welcoming atmosphere make McDermott's a must-visit spot in Doolin for both locals and tourists.
We were on our way with the paddywagon tour bus and we stopped here before lunch. Nice place. Good to pay. Delicious fresh soup with bread. I'm very happy.
My man and I ate last week in mcdermott’s pub, while we were in doolin and had a wonderful meal! I am not too adventurous when I eat, so I had fish and chips only about every night to dinner in the whole country (from dublin to kilkenny to killarney and a few smaller places in between) and mcdermott’s was my favorite! the beer in the teig was tasteful without being overwhelming. the atmosphere was alive without being too loud, and the service was excellent. good mix of local and tourist! although this restaurant is on the other side of the bridge, my man and I had a very nice walk after dinner and was past in no time on the other side of doolin!
