This Tr... read more Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Simply, local food at its best, and certainly the best service we have received and Sicilian food we have eaten. This Trattoria is a hidden gem and a must to visit. Make sure you have a reservation as it was full on a Tuesday lunchtime. People who run it don't understand English and there was a minor confusion about menu choices, but the food was nice. Nothing out of this world, nothing wow, but good and tasty food.

IT'S FAMILY OPERATED, AND THESE DAYS IS ONLY OPEN FROM 1PM TO 3PM. AS A STARTER, I ORDERED MELANZANA (EGGPLANT) AL FORNO RIPEANA, WHICH WAS MAGNIFICENT. WHAT FOLLOWED WAS EQUALLY MAGNIFICENT, INVOLTINO DI CARNE, PROSCIUTTO ROLLS FILLED WITH CHEESE AND SPINACH, COVERED BY A NICELY FITTING SAUCE. IF I LIVED IN ENNA, I WOULD EAT THERE OFTEN.

It is a terrific, famil... read more Don’t be fooled by the extensive menu, the host will guide you in the right direction, even if there’s not a lot of English spoken here. It is a terrific, family-run restaurant that attracts a lot of locals, so it is well worth making a reservation, especially as there aren’t a ton of great food options in Enna. Make sure to try the caponata (best we had in Sicily) and the cannoli, which was to die for.
