Fantastic food, service and atmosphere. Simply, local food at its best, and certainly the best service we have received and Sicilian food we have eaten. This Trattoria is a hidden gem and a must to visit. Make sure you have a reservation as it was full on a Tuesday lunchtime. The attention provided by the owner and his team to all customers was outstanding. Grazie Mille Kim

An interesting experience. The place is hidden between residential buildings, with a quiet exterior. However, super lively and busy when you enter. Top place for locals. People who run it don't understand English and there was a minor confusion about menu choices, but the food was nice. Nothing out of this world, nothing wow, but good and tasty food.

THE PLACE IS MOSTLY PATRONIZED BY LOCALS. I WAS TIPPED TO IT BY A LOCAL, WAS THE ONLY TOURIST, AND WAS DELIGHTED. IT'S FAMILY OPERATED, AND THESE DAYS IS ONLY OPEN FROM 1PM TO 3PM. AS A STARTER, I ORDERED MELANZANA (EGGPLANT) AL FORNO RIPEANA, WHICH WAS MAGNIFICENT. WHAT FOLLOWED WAS EQUALLY MAGNIFICENT, INVOLTINO DI CARNE, PROSCIUTTO ROLLS FILLED WITH CHEESE AND SPINACH, COVERED BY A NICELY FITTING SAUCE. IF I LIVED IN ENNA, I WOULD EAT THERE OFTEN.

Don’t be fooled by the extensive menu, the host will guide you in the right direction, even if there’s not a lot of English spoken here. It is a terrific, family-run restaurant that attracts a lot of locals, so it is well worth making a reservation, especially as there aren’t a ton of great food options in Enna. Make sure to try the caponata (best we had in Sicily) and the cannoli, which was to die for.
