that was my first time I had something midwest bbq and this place more than delivered. I had the burned ends with Jalapeño maize and drilling. the flesh was perfect and delicate. the staff and the waitresses were very friendly with a home john hirsch thema in restaurant. if they want to feel like home (with strangers) this is their place highly recommends Swadley’s. From San Antonio, TX here on business at AFB. Here at lunch time. Order the two meat w/2 sidea and opt got an extra side. Brisket/chicken was good, Love Fried Okra and must say it was, over cooked to much/fry greasy. As for potato, was ok, taste like its been sitting on a side too long. Bes burnt ends iv had in Oklahoma. A the crea corn was awesome too.
Chicken fried steak was fried to a crisp and the gravy was basically water......mac n cheese not so great ....order was messed up....sent us cake we didn't even order that smelled like a wet dog....first time having....probably that last having it..
Seems like the meat portion of the meal is getting smaller. Fewer and Fewer pieces.. It's still good food.. but paying $18.00 for Onion strings and coleslaw isn't worth it.
Not a single piece of chicken on this Smoked Chicken Salad.
Food was good first time going. I thought there would be a bit more meat for the price.
