Friztanga Cibao. Authentic Dominican Cuisine

I was really looking forward to trying this restaurant since it is the only Dominican establishment in the city. Unfortunately, the food was a major letdown. We ordered fried steak and fried chicken, but both dishes lacked any real flavor and were dry. For the price we paid, we expected better quality. The lady who runs the restaurant was pleasant, but that doesn't make up for the disappointing meal.

This restaurant is truly the best. The food is amazing and the service is top-notch. The owner always has a smile on her face! We stumbled upon this place by chance and have become regulars. Personally, I think their best dish is the crispy roasted boar ears with tostones (fried plantains). The boar and chicken chicharron are always fantastic and perfectly cooked. If you are in the area, this is the place to go for delicious food and drinks, and a great atmosphere in the evening. If you are far away, it's worth making the trip to visit this gem of a restaurant.

I had lunch and it was fantastic! The food was amazing and I absolutely loved it! Definitely deserving of 10 stars.

Without a doubt, the best chimichurri food I have ever tasted. Beats out the chimis in Washington Heights!
