Description

The recent reviews of a local Indian restaurant highlight a spectrum of dining experiences. While some diners praised the flavorful saag paneer and generous portions, others criticized inflated delivery prices and poorly prepared dishes. Takeout options received mixed feedback: some appreciated well-cooked items like chicken tikka and naan, while others found certain meals, like lamb bhuna, overly spicy. Service consistency emerged as a focal point, with many noting the restaurant's dedication to quality. Despite some drawbacks, patrons often agreed on the restaurant's potential for decent meals, especially for those seeking comfort in classic Indian fare.

I thought I would start the week with a curry. Ordered online for a later collection. I fancied a change from my usual mixed grill and opted for my other favourite which is a Thali. Good portion size including chicken tikka, kebab, tikka masala and a lamb curry. This was washed down with rice and a naan bread. The tikka and kebab were quite nice. Well cooked and fairly well spiced. The two curries were ok. Nothing to write home about but perfectly acceptable. The naan was properly cooked and had a lovely flavour There was a lot of it and I was unable to finish it. I would recommend this place if you are after a decent good value meal.

I ordered a vegetable biryani and butter chicken for takeout, and it arrived on time. However, the food was inedible. It lacked flavor, had poor quality, and the meat was chewy. The papadum was broken into pieces. It was not worth the price paid and overall, the experience was unprofessional.

Tried this last night. Food was delivered in a good time considering the circumstances. saag paneer was really nice. Much better than some of the other takeaways around. Lamb tikka Vindaloo tasted nice but could have done with a little more spice. I've had cheaper takeaways but that wouldn't stop me going back. All in all we paid £55 for a family of 3 but we all ate well and enjoyed it.

I ordered delivery through Just Eat and was disappointed to find that all the prices were 50-60% higher than the prices for pickup. On top of that, there was an additional delivery charge. While I understand that delivery costs and commissions are necessary, I found this discrepancy to be misleading and excessive.

Every dish we've ordered from here has been beautiful, the saag paneer is amazing! The service that you receive here is what makes the Indian takeaway so special though, they take pride in their food and so they should!
