The cheese seems really off, I'm not sure if its a lower quality mozzarella or a blend, which is kinda cheap. Hardly any sauce...thecrust /dough tasted old and was chewy.. my order was a large pepperoni and hamburg.. I was told 40 minutes at 7:40 Sunday night,apparently that wasn't correct, pizza was warm not hot, and I arrived a few minutes early too.. Two brand new pizza jointsopened in Somers a few miles down the road in the last year, I'd give them a try if you live in the area and stop driving out ofSomers for pizza.

It was a big mistake; the crust was overly thick and chewy, there was barely any sauce, and the cheese was disappointing. It tasted like a mix of cheeses or a bland imitation of mozzarella. Unfortunately, I probably won't be returning because the quality just isn't there.

The ch... read more It’s just not what it used to be. I really agree with John's opinion. A large pizza with two toppings used to feel substantial, but now it seems lacking. The cheese either seems to be lower quality mozzarella or some sort of cheap blend. There was barely any sauce, and the crust tasted old and chewy. I ordered a pizza with a lot of paprika and ham. I was told it would take about 40 minutes to be ready at 7:40 PM on a Sunday night, but that didn’t seem accurate as the pizza was warm rather than hot, and I even arrived a few minutes early. There are two new pizzerias that opened just a few miles down the road in Somers last year. If you live in the area, I’d suggest giving them a try rather than making the drive from Somers for pizza.

Well this afternoon we ordered an XL Special never saw this size but never look at the menus I was hesitant and said to wife dough to pizza toppings on 2? diameter larger could be problematic. So started eating the pizza on way home very disappointed. Overcooked, the Crest is the worst I ever had at Danny?s. Those who know Danny?s you have come to expect a crispy gold brown bottom and an outer crust that is crispy golden brown and a wonderful inside. This did not even come close. The pizza lacked sauce, cheese, small pieces of hamburger and red peppers were almost non existent. In fact my wife used to complain that there were too many toppings If you love Danny?s you know the slices on a Danny?s Special used to eat like a meal. This was almost like a stale crest the kind there the dough was not allowed to raise or sit or something dry inside. Danny?s wife was working obviously not checking quality. I don?t normally write reviews. I will encourage other to try Danny?s because it?s a family business and great pizza 98 out of a 100 times. I wish I was not half way home or I would have returned and assume they would have taken care of me. On a positive note we ordered 10 Wings and those were great! Call this review tough love from a loyal customer. Don?t skimp on the toppings people will pay more for quality. Have someone pay attention to the quality (today at 1.30pm the Resturant was full of people dinning) however the phone was not ringing off the hook. Heck I even called giving them almost an hour notice saying I would like to pick up at 1.30. I?ll be back again but if this were my first visit, I would cross this off my list since there are plenty of pizza joints around and this one experience would move me to another pizza joint. Sorry Danny go one vacation and shut down rest up and check the quality when you get back. Reflect on the review because it?s about how you built the business charge more Watch quality.

Self seating is less than ideal when it's busy but otherwise easily worth a 30 minute drive.

Regardless of the fact that one of the women on the staff without a jacket recognized I needed help and wore our pizza to the car. Amazing service and in addition the Primavera Pizza was the best veggie pizza I ever had.
