I go to this local restaurant whenever in the area around breakfast time. It is one of the last pure pancakes and waffles place. This time I had French Toast. Really yummy. They serve Boyd's coffee... My favorite morning brew. Walked out full and satisfied for next several months. Fast and great service too. View all feedback.
I come down from Los Angeles just to get served the best breakfast from the best waitress Margaret. Try the German pancake, extra butter, or the scrambled eggs and ham with buck wheat pancakes, extra butter! Ask for Margaret, she is off Monday and Tuesday. It's worth the drive!!!
Usually really packed, but my dad and I were seated immediately. They have plenty of seating outdoors. Service was a little slow but they were very busy
What a great breakfast. The pancakes were spot on! We also had the ham and cheese omelette, which was also delicious. The orange juice was fresh, and the toast was good. Our server Jess was a real hustler. It’s a bit expensive, but worth it once in a while. We had about a ten minute wait on a holiday Monday.
We love to go out. Yesterday we arrived in this delicious restaurant which friends told us about. We passed a delightful evening there with great cooking and an efficient crew and a great cook. We put this restaurant in our list and we shall surely come back very soon. We warmly recommend.
I was introduced to this place by a Turkish friend with excellent taste. Over the years, I've tried many different types of pancakes at this restaurant, visiting almost all their locations in San Diego County. The quality and service at every location are outstanding. My favorites include the Classic stack and the Dutch-style pancake. Each pancake order comes with fresh whipped cream and maple syrup, which enhances the richness and makes it even more delicious. The potato and corned beef hash is exceptional, and the diner-style coffee is always fresh and never tastes burnt. Bad coffee can be a dealbreaker for me; if I'm faced with subpar coffee, I won't visit unless I can bring my own. Interestingly, the renowned chef and food critic James Beard, a Portland native and the founder of Original Pancake House, claims they serve the best pancakes in America, honoring them with the James Beard Foundation award for American Classic.
